140,000 sq ft facility to serve growing shipping needs of regional customers.
The Rolla Regional Economic Commission and the Rolla Community Development Corporation are pleased to announce that FedEx Ground, the small-package dellivery unit of FedEx Corp., plans to relocate to a new 140,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art distribution facility at Hy-Point West Industrial Park in Rolla, Missouri.
"We are extremely pleased FedEx Ground has elected to continue their growth in Rolla. I want to thank the Rolla Regional Economic Commission and the Rolla Community Development Corporation for the extensive work they have done to bring this project to fruition," said Rolla Mayor Louis J. Magdits IV. "Economic growth not only takes cooperation, but foresight and planning to be ready for opportunities such as the FedEx Ground project when it comes along."
Cyndra Lorey, Executive Director of Rolla Regional Ecoomic Commission, worked with FedEx Ground consultants and reviewed multiple sites in the Rolla, St. James and Vichy area before selecting this location in the Hy-Point West Industrial Park. The company reports the site was chosen because of its ease of access to major highways, proximity to customers' distribution centers and a strong local community workforce for recruiting employees.
